Bird Girl's View 001: Jeauni's APRIL Inspiration Guide + Playlist
Pack your bags, darlings, because we're riding my magnolia wings to PLANET JEAUNI during Cherry Blossom season!
Hello Hello Queens,
One of the biggest questions I receive is, “Where does your inspiration come from?” And what a tickle it is to share a glimpse into my creative universe with you through a monthly guide to the muses that currently inhabit my world. So, without further ado, let's plunge into what's setting Jeauni's soul ablaze and flipping her world on its head:
Cinema: The Tales of Hoffmann (1951)
In this 1951 film adaptation of Jacques Offenbach's 1881 opera "The Tales of Hoffmann," we're whisked away into a world where a melancholy poet reminisces about three captivating women he once loved and lost: a mechanical performing doll, a Venetian courtesan, and the consumptive daughter of a celebrated composer. Whether you're a dedicated Jeauni darling, a die-hard Galliano aficionado, or simply someone who appreciates the essence of beauty, this film is an absolute must-watch. But…fair warning: it's an opera, darling, so expect those slow, lingering moments that demand your undivided attention; cozy up, turn off those distractions, and let yourself be swept away by the sheer magnificence of this cinematic gem.

Music Video: David Bowie - Love Is Lost
David Bowie's "Love Lost" is an absolute MASTERPIECE, but let me tell you, this Hello Steve Reich Mix? It takes things to a whole new level! Picture it *my Sophia Petrillo Voice*: I'm in the Margiela dressing room, slipping into the SS24 collection like a dream, when suddenly, this track starts playing. My heart races as the room fills with the sound of its scored applause, and I nearly trip over my panties in a rush to Shazam it! See what I do for you!? And The music video? It's like a direct line to Galliano's creative genius showcased in Margiela's SS24 ARTISINAL show — HIS MIND!
Muse: Ms. Josephine
Ms. Josephine, the self-proclaimed “internationally known trash”, has become a bit of a North Star in my universe lately. I won’t say much because I don’t really know ANYTHING about this elusive creature other than she’s best friends with my new friend and she’s serving a level of undeniable c*nt that makes me want to step my game up or just give up. Follow her here!
Playlist: April ‘24 Mix
Our April mix is dedicated to the Magnolia: In the ethereal realm of the Enchanted Forest, where moonbeams waltz with shadows and stars twinkle like diamonds in the sky, there exists a majestic magnolia tree. Each night, as the moon ascends its throne in the heavens, a single magnolia blossom descends from the branches, shedding its earthly constraints to dance under the celestial canopy. Bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, the magnolia whirls and twirls with grace and elegance, her delicate petals unfurling like silk ribbons in the breeze. With each graceful pirouette, she becomes a vision of ethereal beauty, casting a spell of enchantment upon the enchanted glade. But as the first rays of dawn pierce the darkness, the magnolia knows her time in the mortal realm is fleeting. With a wistful sigh, she returns to her rightful place upon the tree, her nocturnal dance a whispered secret shared only with the stars.

Jeauni
